MEET OUR Business Office Coordinator

Karen Neal- BOC

Karen Neal brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Wellington House where she serves as the Business Office Coordinator. She started her journey at Wellington House in 2017 as a Life Enrichment Coordinator, but before joining the family, she served as a Nationally Certified Activity Director with 20 years of experience in recreation therapy.

Although Karen has only been at Wellington House for a few years, she has already fallen in love with the residents that call this place home.

“Our residents are the reason why I love Wellington House,” Karen said. “They greet me every morning with a smile and tell my they are happy to see me.”

Karen goes beyond her role as Business Office Coordinator to connect with the residents and make sure they’re feeling like family. In return, the residents give back through their smiles and laughter. “They make me laugh throughout the day,” Karen said. “They are a treasure and I am honored to serve them.”

Serving at the Wellington House has turned into a family affair for Karen as her daughter, Elisabeth Neal, recently joined the team as the Life Enrichment Coordinator, following in her footsteps. Karen enjoys spending time outside of Wellington House with her husband of 30 years, James, as well as interior designing. “I love the creative process,” Karen said.

Wellington House knows the importance of creating a family atmosphere within the walls of the facility and staff members like Karen are truly what makes this building feel like home to many.
